How do I send a WhatsApp message to more than 256 people?
Use the official WhatsApp Business API instead of the WhatsApp Business app. The app’s Broadcast List is capped at 256 recipients who must have saved your number. On the API, one approved template can go to your full opted-in list, up to your Meta messaging limit tier.
Do customers need to save my number?
No. That rule only applies to Broadcast Lists in the app. On the official API, opted-in contacts receive your message without saving the number and see your verified business name.
Is sending bulk WhatsApp messages legal in India?
Yes, when your contacts have opted in. Meta’s WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy requires that people agreed to hear from your business. BetaXLab stores the opt-in source and timestamp for every contact.

Any message sent outside the 24-hour customer service window must use a template Meta has reviewed. Review usually takes minutes, occasionally up to 24 hours.
Will bulk messaging get my number blocked?
Not on the official API, as long as your quality rating stays healthy. Unofficial bulk-sender tools that use normal WhatsApp numbers are the ones that commonly get banned.
